A study conducted by the firm of fonts, Ascender Corp., showed that the newspapers as being more inclined toward blending their print and online initiatives, looking more and more toward a custom font designs.

For example, the study found that each of the seven daily newspapers use typefaces specifically designed for or assigned to their name. Furthermore, 35 out of 100 daily newspapers for using a custom typeface or modified font in addition to retail, off-the-shelf fonts.
