Even if you try to get the beans from scratch, you will not find a buyer. However, connoisseurs of art are delighted that Sir Cy Twombly, Painter of American Graffiti to accept. His works are auctioned for millions of dollars. Incredibly, has three works that between 1998-1999 taken defeat AUD4.5 million in 2004, when it was bought by the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
Sir C.Y. Twombly is a graffiti artist, the fans can be observed across a broad spectrum of society. On July 19, 2007, an impulsive artist Rindy Sam left a lipstick kiss mark on one of Twombly’s work, “Phaedrus”. He was arrested and tried in court for acts of vandalism, which he tried to defend as an expression of love for the arts.
Sir Cy Twombly was born in 1928 in Lexington, Virginia, USA. Twombly studied art at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (1947-1949), Art Students League, New York (1950-1951), and Black Mountain College in North Carolina (1951-1952). During the mid-1950s, Twombly received a grant from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. He traveled to Europe and Africa thereof. During his trip, Twombly was prominent among some veteran artists who work in New York, including people like Robert Rauschenberg and Jasper Johns. In 1959, Twombly settled permanently in Italy. He held several international exhibitions, one person, and especially appreciated in Europe and America.
