South Austin Caregivers. Sister Madeline Sophie Weber
heads the South Austin group. If you are interested in
volunteering, contributing funds or finding out about their
services, contact them by phone (445-5552) or email
(sa@faithinactioncaregivers.org).
Their office hours are 9 am to noon, Monday - Thursday.

8th. Feed The Homeless
Grace UMC volunteers prepare and serve breakfast at First UMC
Family Life Center (12th St. & Lavaca) on the Second
Thursday of each month from 5 to 7 AM. Contact Elaine Chaney
(914-0027) to volunteer once or on a regular basis or just show
up ready to work.
May
10th, noon. ‘Memories of Mother’ Ladies Luncheon
All ladies at Grace UMC are invited to come and bring a guest(s).
You do not need to be a member of Grace. The luncheon will
happen at noon on May 10th, the Saturday before
Mother’s Day, in Fellowship Hall. The theme is ‘Memories of
Mother’, so bring photographs and/or mementos of your mother or
other important motherly women in your life. If you are able,
please bring your favorite salad to share. Dessert and
beverages will be provided. We will be collecting baby receiving
blankets to donate to a local hospital. The nurses will send
them home with the new-born infants who don't have blankets for
the trip home. This is our way of helping out the new mothers.
If there is anyone interested in helping organize this luncheon,
please contact Sharon Howell at church or @ 447 5167.

Grace UMC will join other Austin Methodist churches and the
Methodist Federation for Social Action in demonstrating the UMC
motto of "Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors" at this year's
Austin Pride Parade. This annual event is sponsored by the
Austin Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (AGLCC). More info to

now for Vacation Bible School (VBS) be held June 16th
- 20th
Join us for the summer fun of VBS. VBS will meet every day from
9am to noon, June 16th to 20th. A
healthful daily snack will be provided. VBS is open to all
children from ages 4 years to 3rd grade. You do not
need to be a member of Grace UMC. The fee is $15 for the first
child and $5 for each additional sibling. Registration forms are
available at the church. If you can volunteer to help or donate
funds or materials or have questions, please contact Claudia

Wedneday evenings, 7-8 PM. Cokesbury Chorus Nights
Come join in the fun of singing Cokesbury hymns every Wednesday
night during the summer months. Cokesbury
Chorus Nights will start on Wednesday, June 11th, and
continue through July 30th, 7-8 PM each Wednesday in
the choir room on the second floor of the education wing. I look
forward to singing and sharing great fellowship with you.
